Help test a new version of our website

We are redesigning the council website to make it easier for you to find support and do what you need online.

Your feedback as a business in Islington is important – please help shape the new site by taking a short test (5 to 10 minutes) to help us understand how it works for you.

You need a licence from us to run a business selling pets in Islington.

Apply

Please contact the Animal Welfare team to apply for a licence. Call 020 7527 3222 or email animal.welfare@islington.gov.uk. 

After you apply

If your application is approved your licence will be issued within 10 working days.

The right to appeal 

If your application is refused, please contact us in the first instance. You can appeal to the local magistrates’ court.
