Child chaperone licence renewal

You have to renew your child chaperone licence every 12 months.

To renew an existing licence you must complete the Chaperone Renewal Declaration (available from ‘Useful documents’ below). You also need to provide evidence of your DBS certificate and any refresher training undertaken.

Send the completed declaration form and supporting documents to pupilservices@islington.gov.uk or post them to Pupil Services, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1XR.

There is no charge for renewing this licence.

If you have recently moved to Islington and were a licensed chaperone in another borough, you need to apply for a new licence. We may also need to interview you.

Next steps

Once we have received your declaration form and have evidence of your DBS check and safeguarding refresher training, we will issue a new 12-month licence.

You will need to renew your licence again the following year.
