Transfer a dry cleaning permit
If you are selling or buying a dry cleaning business, both sides involved must apply for a transfer of the dry cleaning permit.
Before you apply for a permit, you are strongly advised to read relevant parts of the Defra general guidance manual.
Fee
The following fees and charges apply:
- full transfer: free
- partial transfer: £47.

You can download the transfer application form from ‘Useful documents’ below and email it to pollution@islington.gov.uk. We will contact you to take fee payment over the phone.
Alternatively, you can send the form to Pollution Team, Islington Council, 222 Upper Street, London, N1 1XR.
