Double check your parking ticket before paying

We have had some reports of fake parking tickets (PCNs) left on vehicles in Islington and neighbouring boroughs.

If you get a PCN, please check:

  • it has the Islington Council logo, crest and 'for a more equal future' in the top-right on the front
  • the back has instructions on how to pay including the web address islington.gov.uk/pcnpay - if you use this, you will see a green band at the top with our logo
  • the back also tells you how to challenge a PCN
  • it has a detachable slip that says "do not pay the civil enforcement officer"

Our PCNs do not have a QR code that you scan with your phone camera to pay. Do not scan any QR code on a PCN.

Park on an estate

Anyone can apply for an estate parking space or a garage on an Islington housing estate. Find out how to apply and costs.

Anyone can apply for a numbered parking space or garage on an Islington Council housing estate.

You will pay weekly rent for sole use of the space. We also have a small number of car cages.

Who can apply

Anyone can apply for estate parking but we put estate residents first, especially if you have a blue badge.

You can still apply if you don't live in Islington or on an Islington Council estate.

Cost

The cost depends on where you live and your vehicle emissions.

If you have a blue badge issued by us, you can get a discount on parking space rent.

If your application is successful

You must display your paper estate parking permit in your vehicle. If you rent an estate parking bay, we will give you a visitor permit so that anyone who visits you can use your parking space.
