Working together to safeguard Islington's children
The responsibilities of the sub-group are to:
reduce the risk of children going missing or being criminally exploited.
improve intervention and diversionary activity for those who go missing, and offend whilst missing, or who are at increased risk of criminal exploitation.
identify perpetrators who assist children going missing, or aide in their criminal exploitation, and disrupt/prevent their activity.
build a problem profile for both missing children and the criminal exploitation of children/adolescents in Islington.
identify and disrupt Peer-on-Peer abuse in Islington.
use trauma informed approaches to problem solve in these areas and safeguard vulnerable children and adolescents from harm.
