The Children and Social Work Act 2017 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 has removed the requirement for Local Authorities to establish LSCBs and replaced with new local multi-agency safeguarding arrangements. Under the new legislation, the three statutory safeguarding partners – Local Authority, Police and Clinical Commissioning Group – must make arrangements to work together, along with the relevant agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in their area.
